Court Finds Probable Cause for Hostile Workplace by US Judge
LAP’s President and Founder Aliza Shatzman spoke with Bloomberg Law about a judicial misconduct investigation into a former U.S. District Court judge within the First Circuit accused of creating a hostile work environment. Subsequent reporting revealed that the judge in question is Mark Wolf.
Said Shatzman, “a judge leaving the bench during a misconduct investigation does not eliminate the need for accountability or transparency. This represents neither justice for the mistreated clerk who bravely reported the misconduct, likely facing significant headwinds against reporting, nor accountability for one of many federal judges who abuse their power by mistreating clerks and staff and creating a hostile work environment in chambers.”
This news comes just one month after LAP filed a complaint against Second Circuit Judge Sarah Merriam, accusing Merriam of bullying her clerks and creating a “culture of fear.”
