Support our mission.

Together we can ensure that all law clerks have positive clerkship experiences, while extending support and resources to those who do not.

A better judiciary creates a better society.

LAP’s work is transforming the clerkship application process - and the legal profession - for the next generation of attorneys. Transparency, accountability, and empowerment benefit law students, law schools, law clerks, judges - and everyone who engages with the court system.

The Power of Your Gift.

Clerkship Database

The Clerkship Database increases transparency in clerkship hiring by democratizing information about judges as managers, chambers culture, and clerkship experiences, thereby empowering law students with information. Your donation will help us bring this innovative legal technology to more law students and law schools this year.

Law School Programming

We host programming with law schools, bar associations, and other stakeholders to discuss judicial accountability, clerkships, and diversity in the courts. LAP has changed the clerkship messaging and programming on many campuses. Help us bring our candid content to even more schools.

Data Collection & Analysis

Quantifying the scope of problems through data collection and analysis is the first step toward crafting effective solutions to protect law clerks from workplace mistreatment and hold judges accountable for misconduct.

Resources for Law Clerks

LAP offers a variety of resources for law clerks to empower them to seek accountability and redress. Law clerks willing to take the brave step of reporting mistreatment deserve support from the legal community.

Advocacy

The Legal Accountability Project advocates for legislative and policy changes as well as larger cultural change in the legal community. We have changed the messaging around clerkships on law school campuses. Now, we’re working to transform the legal profession for the next generation of attorneys from a culture of silence and fear to one of candor and empowerment.
