Judge Douglas Nazarian Joins LAP’s Board of Directors

The Legal Accountability Project is thrilled that the Honorable Douglas R. M. Nazarian has joined our Board of Directors. Judge Nazarian has served on the Appellate Court of Maryland since January 2013. He joined the Court after five years at the Maryland Public Service Commission and fifteen years as a litigator in law firms in Washington and Baltimore. Judge Nazarian is a graduate of Yale College and Duke Law School. He clerked for Judge James B. Loken of the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit. Judge Nazarian also serves as a Senior Adjunct Professor at the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law.

June marks the one-year anniversary of LAP’s launch. At this important time, we are honored that Judge Nazarian has agreed to take on this role. LAP looks forward to collaborating with Judge Nazarian as we usher in a new era in the legal profession: one of increased transparency and diversity in the clerkship application process and judiciary.
