Federal judges are, too often, ‘above the law.’ We can stop it.

The solutions to judicial lawlessness exist, if we’re tenacious enough to fight for them, LAP’s Aliza Shatzman writes in The Philadelphia Inquirer. Aliza explains that federal judges are above the laws they interpret, as the entire federal judiciary is exempt from all federal anti-discrimination laws. However, two pieces of pending congressional legislation, the Judiciary Accountability Act (JAA) and the TRUST Act, would bring us closer to solving historically intractable social problems in the judiciary.
